ASSA ABLOY and Next Level Security Systems Enter Partnership Agreement
ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, and Next Level Security Systems, a developer of a new breed of unified networked security devices, have signed a partnership agreement
New Haven, CT. – March 24, 2010 – ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, and Next Level Security Systems, a developer of a new breed of unified networked security devices, have signed a partnership agreement to integrate ASSA ABLOY’S electromechanical lockets with Next Level’s unified networked security solutions.
The partnership will enable WiFi-enabled locksets from ASSA ABLOY Group brands SARGENT and CORBIN RUSSWIN to function seamlessly with a range of Next Level Security Systems products. The integration will provide end users the ability to cost effectively implement networked access control on all doorways within a facility. In addition, the end—to-end solution enables existing ASSA ABLOY customers to seamlessly add additional capacities to their security systems while new customers can deploy a unified, best-of-breed solution.
“ASSA ABLOY believes end users are best served when they are offered locking products that work in tandem with their existing integrated security systems, rather than requiring a separate software platform,” said Martin Huddart, vice president of electronic technologies for ASSA ABLOY Americas. “To that end, we are partnering with Next Level Security Systems to provide end users with powerful and easy-to-implement IP-based security technologies that extend access control from the perimeter door to the interior of the building.”
”Next Level’s goal is to provide unified networked security solutions that offer enterprise-class functionality in a cost-effective manner,” said Peter Jankowski, CEO and Chairman, Next Level Security Systems. “Our partnership with ASSA ABLOY supports this mission and enables end users to combine our best-in-class networked products with industry leading access control hardware.”
The SARGENT and CORBIN RUSSWIN WiFi-enabled locksets utilize open-standard 802.11 b/g WiFi technology. This non-proprietary technology allows facilities to leverage their existing wireless network or simply build a network with standard off-the-shelf products.
Next Level Security Systems provides unified, networked-based security solutions with sophisticated feature sets that are easy-to-deploy and cost effective. The NLSS Gateway combines digital video management, video analytics, access control and intrusion detection into a single appliance. The company’s advanced line of unified networked devices will be showcased at booth 6092 at ISC West 2010 in Las Vegas.
